We may sound biased when we say "We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth".
But you have to see it to believe it. There are not many places you can find total peace and quiet with fresh air to breath in and only a birds song to hear... then be only a short car journey away from the hustle and bustle we are used to in every day life. Come and drink in the country air and sit out late under the stars with zero light pollution in your very own private garden. Enjoy our white wintery days with sledging then a delicious hot chocolate in front of the fireplace or relax in the evening sun with a glass of bubbly eating your very own hand picked wild raspberries, during our summer months. However you choose to spend your time with us, make sure its with people you love.
Just maybe then you will see we are not only biased, we are 100% right.

Woodcroft Farm, farmed by the Peart family since 1947, is a traditional hill livestock farm with a beef suckler herd and hill sheep. Farming life is always busy, so which ever time of year you decide to visit our holiday cottage, there will be plenty to see.

Located on a working farm in Weardale, Yeka Byre Holiday Cottage is a short drive from the historic cathedral city of Durham and is a one hour drive to the North Yorkshire Moors, the Northumberland Coast or the Lake District making it a perfect base to visit the North of England
